hello. i’m curious if the Assembly Line concert is a fundraiser, or just a time to gather together and bring awareness and inspiration to buying locally? if this is a benefit/fundraiser, where does the money earned go? thanks so much.
Hi smile and breathe, I’m glad you asked!
The Assembly Line Concert, this year as well as last year, is an awareness campaign about all that is great about the domestic, Detroit Auto industry and the people behind, our “backbone” of our region.
It isn’t cheap to staff, and equipt my small, unpretentious cafe to put this together, however. Despite a great band of volunteers and help, the concert is an event that my coffee and cafe sales cant cover without help!
We do have some days earmarked for fundraising though. 2 of these dates are , sat. 3/20 “FernCare day” and sat 3/27 “Haiti relief day,” Everyone who comes to the cafe on these days will be asked to pay na min. $5.00 cover, with 100% of that going to our cause.!!
Hope that answers your question.
Kindest Regards,
AJ O’Neil
